T-minus eight hours

steffer71 and my trip to New York couldn't come at a better time. Where the hell is Kingston, anyway? Dad says there is this really cool antique store we have to stop at in Niagra, on the Canada side.

I need to buy dress shoes before we leave town, or somewhere en route. When I moved, I threw the old ones out.

Nothing like driving twelve hours, one way, just to go to a wedding. Steph and I get along really well in the car, though. It will be fun, and will hopefully clear my head and get me moving again. I did nothing but lay in bed, pet the cat, and finish reading my book yesterday. I went no further than the mailbox. Oh look, it's my mother's coping strategy!!!

Bon Voyage, Mt. P. I'll see ya Monday night.

SPECIAL NOTE: I'll be back Monday, so if people are planning on coming over to watch the Sopranos, you need to get my apartment key from me today, before 5p. It comes with a price, though. The roomates will be gone Saturday and Sunday, too, so you will have to come over and play with Monette also. Not that that is a terrible burden or anything, just be aware that I won't be held responsible if he draws blood (he was feisty this morning!).

You're gonna be in Niagara Falls, Canada? I'm only like a half hour away. You should cross over and visit. Saturday night, I'll be at Bear Night, but other than that, I'm free. If you want to get together, drop me a line and I'll send you my phone number. Have a good trip.

On the way by the first time, we'll be travelling light speed to make it to Kingston in time for the dress rehearsal, and on the way back, we're stopping for a quick, "ooooh, water", and then getting on our way. We have to be home by Monday night, so we can't really stop to smell the roses (my thorny little friend!). Some other time?

Hey, driving 12 hours one-way just for a wedding gets you out of Michigan...for a couple of days, at least.

I talked with our host, Chip, last night. He's very eager for our arrival.

Look out Niagra, here come Steph & Stew!

Whoo Hooo!

if you went through Ontario it would have been out of your way... unless there's another Willis Road out there that I don't know about.

Kingston NY... I lived south of there for a few years in New Paltz. Kingston is one of the 'larger' cites between Albany and NYC on the west side of the Hudson. The one good gay bar is Prime Time. She is about 10-15 min south of Kingston on 9W. Ask around, I think they have a web page and Saturday night is the best night to attend. If you have time either go to New Paltz or Woodstock, both are interesting towns.
