Can nothing kill Cats?

Les Miserables is closing March 15, but still won't have enough performances to become the longest running Broadway show. Damn you Cats. Can nothing stop the beast?

Seriously. It's driving me nuts. When I read about Les Mis's closing, I yelled "WHAT?!" so loudly that the dog yelped and ran away.

Re: I LOVE THOSE CATS
Are you trying to get on my bad side? I have "cats(the musical) bashing" listed as one of my interests!

Naked men singing, on the other hand, could be fun.

I wore black and lit candles the day "A Chorus Line" was out-run by "Cats". I may not make it through the "Les Miz" closing. I wonder if Betty Ford has a wing for that yet

I wore black on that day, too. True story: around the time it happened, I went into my college choir and announced the news that, "Cats is now the longest running Broadway musical" and someone pipes up, "Cats beat Phantom?" I enjoyed laughing at him.

But it now chills me. Do our hopes have to lie with Phantom? At least it's a little better than Cats. Maybe Rent will make it long enough. I don't even want to think about certain shows involving other felines wearing heavy costumes.
