I have the biggest hardon over R.E.M. lately, especially the songs Night Swimming and What's the Frequency, Kenneth?. The funny thing is that I don't remember even hearing Night Swimming when Automatic for the People was first released, but my feelings over it appear nostalgic. We'll see if this will pass, otherwise Dar and Trisha will have to share their pedestal with Michael Stipe.

Thanksgiving was different. So many changes over the last year for us make for a holiday that was more about finding normalcy in tradition than anything else. Other than the actual day, the holiday was amazing. I had two super karaoke experiences, plus got to see Steph and Katie. Very nice.

Spent time with Judy, the ex-stepmother, and Stacey, the ex-stepsister. Still need to think on this; I have things to say, but I need to get them straight in my head first.

R.E.M rocks my world!! Automatic for the People is by far their best cd. Everybody Hurts is by far my favorite song of theirs.

Is it you that put the thought into my head to like it? Someone told me about during the last couple of years. I really don't think I've heard it before.

I don't know, but most likely not. But if you want to borrow it to make a copy of it or whatever let me know.

Um... i have to agree...

I think Night Swimming has subliminal age factor. Once you reach a certain point in life the song becomes very beautiful.

"Nightswimming" was my favorite song the year I was seventeen and a Senior in high school. Favoritefavoritefavorite. It's BRILLIANT and so haunting, and I feel seventeen every time I hear it now.

I love how music has that power to return you to a special time/place/moment/person/etc.

p.s. effin love the icon!!! That moment is so powerful that I've incorporated it into my MOMD fantasy. I could do without the extended cheesy parable (or is it a fable? I get confused), but to have a man be that supportive of my dream . . . swoon.
I need to come up with a better L5Y icon. Something that's more than just a pic "borrowed" from the website.
