tv: goodbye, Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals

So, it's over. I'm not feeling much of anything, which makes me think I'm in denial. The last seven minutes of the episode were perfection; I felt that the rest was kind of awkward. Maybe it is denial.

Goodbye, SATC. In some ways, you brought me pain (I didn't even meet you until I started working at Western, and I like to tell people that you and SFU were two of the few good things that happened to me in the five months I was there), but overall you enriched my life. Thank you for giving me so many chances to laugh and cry and scream. Thank you for brilliant characters that grew before my eyes. Thank you for a gay character that makes me look straight in comparison.

Good luck to all the people affiliated with the show (viewers too). Our expectations for television have been changed, and I hope that we will never be disappointed.

I, unfortunately, am disappointed by television every day
(except Sunday night) when all I see are programs like "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancée" and God-only-knows what else the Fox network has in store for our already brainwashed society.
