LJ: It's my anniversary

Today makes three years of Livejournal for me. I went back and read some of my early posts, and I was surprised. In some ways, I've changed drastically, while in others, I haven't changed at all. I'd like to think I'm a kinder person. I'm a lazier student, which I never thought could happen (how do you get lazier than I was three years ago? I managed it!). I'm a better person.

According to tradition, this is my leather anniversary. Who's spanking me first? ;-)

Seriously, though, I want to thank my LJ friends, both people I've met in person and others who I've only rubbed electronic elbows with. I realize that journals are usually private things; sharing my life with you and getting a glimpse at yours is what always brings me back here. I believe it always will.

Know that I appreciate you more than I can ever give voice to. I could never assemble a group of friends this eclectic in any geographic region. Having this space makes it possible. May we all have a long time to grow and continue to learn about each other.

happy anniversary!

Did I ever mention to you that I enjoy the blue and orange Gator-esque theme that you have on your comments page? Perhaps I didn't because I'm just noticing it now.

I celebrated my second anniversary May 10th and completely forgot to even make mention of it. I remember my start quite well, though; it was the start of my summer in Robinson. :-)

and what a summer it was! Speaking of that summer, are you in for Counting Crows?

Happy anniversary! I've really appreciated the opportunity to look in on your life as well-- which I think I've been doing for about two years now. Time flies!

Doesn't it? When is your commencement?

I was going to comment to your last post, but couldn't think of anything more original than "I felt the same way" I used to listen to this used to be my playground to try to be emotional about transitions. What are your summer plans?

I can't remember the exact date, but I think it's June 8th or 9th.

I think I may well go looking for something that will tip me over the edge into catharsis, one of these nights. Maybe listen to Falsettoland. Because I definitely get the feeling it's not going to happen on its own.

I'm going to be working until the end of July, five days a week, nine to five, so that cuts down on my free time. I'm hoping to go see a few shows, and then the family vacation in August, and possibly a beach week with friends if I can get off work. It's not the ideal senior-year summer, but I'll get by.

Happy LJ anniversary! Amen to what you've said -- LJ has afforded us all such great opportunities. I love it when technology is used for good. Or fun, at least. :-)
