New Voyages
Just watched the pilot to Star Trek: New Voyages, one of the fan-filmed efforts that are supposedly everywhere on the internet (I haven't heard about any of them until I saw a post in a community earlier).
It's good! The acting of the new Kirk may be as bad as the old, but I really responded to it. The choice to bring Janice Rand back on board was inspired. She gets so little screen time in TOS, but I've always loved her. I applauded when Voyager wrote her in as Sulu's first officer.
Man, I'm on a trek kick again. Looking at someone's DS9 icons made me cry, and I can't wait to see more of these episodes. Walter Koenig is guest starring in an episode!
