No internet. No cable, either (it's odd, but there are moments when we'll have one without the other. stupid Charter.)
Being without THE SOURCE OF LIFE put me into survivor mode, desperately thinking about food, shelter, and how I'm going to keep enough kitty litter on hand for three cats who think the box would be lonely if at least one of weren't making a deposit. I don't get it; I read all the time, but when the choice is taken away from me, I can't even consider curling up with a good book. I eventually calmed down, and settled in for the night.
Thank the creator for the Nintendo DS and New Super Mario Bros.(which I am loving!)***. I don't think I would have made it through without it. Fingers are crossed that TSOL will be restored before I get home tonight, as Bowser's wrath is nothing compared to mine.
*** I'm aware how pathetic this is, to fall back on a video game because I couldn't watch TV. The odd thing is, I don't watch a lot of TV after work since my schedule change. Had it been working, I probably would have read and gone to bed. I'm a freak.
